The cool way to hydrate this summer… Juice Bar

With the weather here feeling like you’re on holiday… minus the bikini, sun lounger and a cool swimming pool, or even just a perfectly air conditioned room to curl up in mid afternoon for a well needed siesta(!) – We’ve decided that a refreshing juice is the way to get through those long British summer days.

There’s something about the heat that just doesn’t make you as hungry but does make you crave anything fresh, cool and iced.

With endless juices on the market and new juice bars popping up on every street we thought we’d share some of our all time favourites and newbies with you…

C Press

With cafes in West and East London, there’s no reason not to pick up a juice or two. C Press’ fridges are filled with water variations from chlorophyll to Aloe, there’s even lemonade variations that you’ll never have thought of, and at least five maybe six green juices along with vitamin shots and all the reds to keep you healthy and hydrated.

We never pass by without stocking up on Chlorophyll Water and Black Leomonade, however easy it is to buy charcoal powder and Chlorophyll these days, when you make it yourself it never tastes as good as when you pick up one from C Press!

We also highly recommend the Green Acai Bowl if you’re feeling peckish on passing by – and it’s prefectly chilled for this summer heatwave!

Good Life Eatery

Having opened its doors in Chelsea nearly five years ago it was one of the first ‘healthy’ places to visit. Its small but perfectly packed fridge of cold juices and vitamin shots have only grown over the years and is one of our favourites to make a detour too whenever we’re whizzing through Chelsea. Now with four cafes across London, Good Life Eatery makes grabbing a tasty juice on-the-go so much easier.

A new addition this year has quickly become a new favourite with just as cool a name, Charcoolade.  A delicious little twist to charcoal activated water, by adding tasty pineapple and chia seeds, and it’s now providing a great little protein hit as well. What’s not to love?

And if you fancy being being Parisian for the day, grab a spelt croissant or two to go with your morning juice as well.

Juice Baby

An all-time favourite sat on the prestigious Kings Road has one of the best philosophies around: ‘Little by little’ – with their belief that the little choices are the ones that make the big changes. Its fridge is filled daily with cold pressed juices and gut-friendly milks that are all handmade. There are also some incredibly yummy snacks and deserts chilling in there too all free from dairy, eggs, gluten, soy, chemical additives and preservatives.

Summer is the best time to visit because they have their amazing Watermelonade on the menu. A simple press of watermelon and lime, clenches the thirst and is the perfect refreshment on a hot day.

Don’t miss picking up a Vanilla Salted Caramel ice cream whilst your there too… thank us later 😉

Press London

We maybe biased, but summer is the best time to grab a Press Juice as Orchard 3 is on the menu. A seasonal blend of strawberries, apple and coconut is simply summer in a bottle and also makes a great mixer to take to that BBQ.

With three stores and over 250 stockists you won’t have to look far to find one, not to mention the 8 european countries they have recently launched to this year… making zero excuses and the option to chill pool side on annual leave with one too.

Story Works & Story Cafe

One of the newest cafes to have opened two doors – 31 and 115 respectively – on St Johns Hill. These tasty treats are just a short walk from Clapham Junction station, making it easily accessible not only for those that live in the neighbourhood but perfect for those passing through with a little time to kill between train connections at the station.

No 31 has its fridge full of cold pressed juices and superfood smoothies and No115 an all day brunch menu, speciality coffee and selection of juices.

The ‘Life Greens’ house green juice has the perfect blend of greens mixed with coconut water and hint of lemon… quenches the thirst and makes sure you’re getting a healthy hit with all that green goodness.
